Is LockTin secure?
Yes! A LockTin home delivery box is made from robust, galvanised steel and has been designed to be screwed (using the pre-drilled holes in the back and base of the unit) to your house, garage or garden wall, so no-one can break in to it or carry it away. Our weather resistant lock mechanism has an IP54 rating (moisture and dust protection). The lock allows for a master code, a sub-master code a user code, you may change these codes as anytime. At the online checkout of your retailer you can advise the courier the user code in the notes area or special instructions box. A unique ‘digital signature’ label is positioned to the underside of the lid and the courier will either use your PIN number, barcode or QR code as proof of your signature.
Do couriers actually comply with the instructions?
Customer feedback has confirmed that the couriers will happily follow the simple instructions to use your Locktin and leave your online purchases. We have even cases when couriers have been promoting our product as it makes their life must easier and means they can deliver every time. How big is LockTin and LocknCool?
LockTin is available in two sizes:
Standard 700mm high x 300mm deep x 400mm wide
Large 800mm high x 425mm deep x 500mm wide
LocknCool is 800mm high x 425mm deep x 500mm wide and comes with an integral cool box to keep your perishable shopping fresh.
Are items delivered to a LockTin insured?
It’s best to check with your home contents insurance provider. However, most insurers would class a LockTin secure delivery box as an outbuilding, so items delivered into it would normally be covered by your home contents insurance.
Is LockTin suitable for grocery deliveries?
Because LockTin is not refrigerated it is not suitable for perishable groceries.
How does the courier know what to do?
The courier simply uses the details that you provided at the checkout (LockTin location and usercode). The courier will find your LockTin delivery box and deposit the items inside. When you arrive home you will know that the delivery has been made because the handy ‘flag’ will be in the up position.
What if there isnt a notes section on checkout?
If there is nowhere for you to enter special notes then simply add the details into your delivery address.
What if the delivery requires a signature?
Each LockTin parcel delivery box comes complete with a unique digital signature which is affixed to the underside of the lid. The courier will use either your PIN, barcode or QR code as proof of your signature.
Can it cope with multiple deliveries on the same day?
Yes, the code for digital lock is not unique to one delivery. The codes can be used time and time again or you can change the code every time you use it.
Is iThermo Cell material toxic?
All iThermo Cell material posses no harm to human skin. However, if you should get the material on your skin then simply clean the exposed area with wet towels and apply moisturiser if necessary.
Can I use my iThermo Cell with my coolbox?
iThermo Cell Cooling Units are suitable to use with all standard coolers or bags or any brand. In order to achieve the most optimal thermal performance, we suggest that you should use a high quality thermal storage container with great insulation. For more information about the thermal performance of your storage container, please check with the manufacturer of your storage container.
What Perishables can I store with iThermo Cell cooling units?
Since iThermo Cell can deliver -10˚C (14˚F) inside your storage container, the range of perishables you can store could be fresh seafood, meat, deserts, ice-cream, beverages, salads, drinks, etc. If you find your cooler maybe too cold for certain perishables, adjust the amount of iThermo Cell Cooling Units you use as appropriate.
How long do iThermo Cell cooling units last?
If iThermo Cell cooling units are used inside standard coolers, they should last a minimum of 6 hours and more depends on the quality of the cooler and the amount of cooling units used from within. If the cooling units are used at outdoor (direct exposing to sunlight), they should last no more than 2 hours depending on the outside temperature.
How should I recharge the iThermo Cell cooling unit?
All iThermo Cell cooling units need to be recharge in an efficient freezer -4°F (-20°C) for a minimum of 24 hours before use. Always lay flat during recharge inside the freezer.
Why is it important to lay the iThermo Cell cooling units flat at recharge?
Laying the cooling units flat enhances the cooling material inside the container to be distributed evenly.
How many times can I repeatedly use the iThermo Cell cooling units?
Our test has shown that you can repeatedly use the iThermo Cell cooling units up to 400 times.
How should I store iThermo Cell cooling units when they are not in use?
Always store iThermo Cell cooling units in a freezer when not in use, or store them in a dry environment at below 30˚C (86˚F).
How should I clean the iThermo Cell cooling units?
Clean with soft cloth with mild dish detergent.
